Mount Buninyong Interpretive Signage

Mount Buninyong is a large composite breached scoria cone volcano to the south of Ballarat. In 1997 the Mount Buninyong Reserve was placed on the register of the National Estate. Superb views of the western plains can be had from the summit.

Four interpretive signs were developed for the Crater Walk, providing historical information on Aboriginal lore and early white settlement, information on the flora and fauna to be found on the Mount, and information and interpretation of the geology of the volcano.

This project, managed by Lettergraphics (Australia), entailed the design and installation of internal directories, directional and identification signs.

The majority of the signs were suspended from the ceiling in this open plan office building.
