Together with Lettergraphics (Australia), we developed a comprehensive signage system for the Australian National University. A large, sprawling site, the University’s existing signage was run down and rather “polite” – white lettering on bush green structures that tended to disappear into the background. Our approach was to increase the contrast in the signage (white on black) and to create colour-coded areas to assist with general location.
