Learmonth Township Signage

Now part of the City of Ballarat, Learmonth was once the centre for the former Shire of Ballarat, Victoria’s first shire. This project, in response to community consultation, saw the development and installation of a number of interpretive and information signs to enhance the visitor and user experience.

The signage included 38 historical plaques, complete with QR codes linked to the Historical Society’s website, 3 major information signs housed in shelters, 6 freestanding interpretive signs, distance markers, directional signs, 3 park identification signs with maps, 6 tactile artwork bollards and a lookout cairn atop Bankin Hill.

Some of the signs used existing City of Ballarat templates whilst others were specifically designed for Learmonth.
