Highlands Regional Waste Management Group

Highlands Regional Waste Management Group was one of Victoria’s 16 RWMGs. These were established in 1996 by the Victorian Government to plan for the management of municipal waste in each of their regions, to co-ordinate activities and to facilitate and foster best practices in waste management.

We created the logo and the application of a house style to a broad suite of communications including: stationery, brochures, business plans, reports, vehicle livery, digital media and signage.

Following the establishment of the HRWMG “corporate” identity, we commissioned Sam Harmer to create a number of cartoons to illustrate various aspects of their work to help with community engagement. The cartoons were supported by high quality photographs in a number of publications and campaigns. This approach continued throughout the life of the organisation, with new cartoons created by Lisa Widdop and others.

HRWMG Sustainability Breakfasts

HRWMG ceased to exist in 2015 when a restructuring of Waste Management Groups by the Victorian Government was implemented.
